Together Through Winter
You look like you're coping. But you don't always feel that way.
You're probably used to getting on with things.
Being capable. Being there for other people. Holding things together.
But perhaps you're tired of doing it all on your own.
Together Through Winter is a small online Gestalt therapy group for people who want somewhere to slow down, feel less alone, understand themselves more deeply and explore what happens when they are genuinely with other people.
10 places available. 12 x 90min group sessions, plus an individual session.
Support for you through the whole of winter.
4th Nov 2026 - 10th Feb 2027
Led by Deborah Coughlin, an experienced psychotherapist and group facilitator specialising in Gestalt psychotherapy, group dynamics and relational work. Deborah brings extensive experience working with individuals, groups, leaders and organisations, alongside specific training in therapeutic groups, trauma-informed practice and safeguarding.

Why Winter?
Winter asks something of us that our culture rarely does: Slow down.
The natural world turns inward. Growth becomes less visible. Things are shed, digested and allowed to rest before something new emerges. The group follows this seasonal rhythm alongside the Gestalt cycle of awareness, contact, withdrawal and emergence.
We'll explore what you're ready to let go of, what needs your attention, what happens when you don't know, and what might be ready to emerge in 2027.
Why a Group?
You'll have the opportunity to notice yourself in relationship, rather than simply talking about relationships.
Who do you become when someone disagrees with you? What happens when you feel unseen? Do you take responsibility for everyone? Do you disappear? Do you try to fix things? Can you stay connected when you're uncomfortable?
Group therapy gives you the opportunity to notice your patterns as they happen, and experiment with doing things differently in real time.

This isn't about fixing yourself.
It's about slowing down enough to notice yourself.
To understand your patterns.
To explore what happens between you and other people.
And to discover what happens when you don't have to be the one holding everything together.
This is for you if...
You are generally coping well. You may be successful, capable and relied upon. But something isn't quite working.
You may be:
-
carrying more than you realise
-
lonely despite having people around you
-
often thinking rather than feeling
-
find it difficult to slow down
-
anxious about things that don't have an obvious solution
-
curious about why you keep repeating certain patterns
-
wanting somewhere you don't have to be "the capable one"
This isn't a crisis group.
It's for people who are stable enough for group psychotherapy and want to understand themselves more deeply.
